Our OWASP Community Arunai Engineering College was founded in September,2021. We organize Meetups, Webinar and Conferences. All these events are open, anyone who is interest can participate. We promote on Secure Application Development and share knowledge on Cyber Security. Join our mission to make Cyber Space a Better Place!

About

In order to expand the reach of information security across the campus, department of Computer Science and Engineering established the Cyber Security Club. The purpose of this club is to help and bring security education and awareness to all, so that individuals will learn how to secure their data as well as to protect themselves from cyber attacks and crime. This is done by providing trainings and awareness activities as well as participating in conferences, workshop, webinar and community service activities.

In addition, this club also provides an avenue for students who are in the program to foster relationships with their peers and to provide networking opportunities with those in the career field. Students are also participating in the National and International level competitions to prove their expertise which in turn helps to build relationships and confidence within themselves.

Cyber Security

• Cybersecurity has become critical to modern businesses, as frequent data breaches highlight the need for skilled professionals focused on protecting digital assets.
• The Cyber Security Club aims to educate individuals on cybersecurity concepts and equip them with essential knowledge to defend against modern computer exploits, regardless of experience or academic background.
• The club fosters a strong cybersecurity culture within the institute, benefiting students of current and future batches through continuous learning and awareness.

Moto of Club

• The club aims to cover various areas of cyber security including network security, penetration testing, secure coding, cryptography, and reverse engineering.
• To present interactive demonstrations using vulnerable web applications and introduce students to different cyber security tools and resources.
• To demonstrate experts’ approaches to problem-solving through platforms such as YouTube and other learning resources.
• To help students master tools through hands-on sessions, practical exposure, and competitive activities.

Future Plans of the Club

• Host workshops in the institute to enhance skill development and practical experience.
• Host expert talks by security professionals from local companies and organizations on specific topics of interest.
• Conduct technical and cyber security competitions within the institute.
• Participate in technical and online events organized by various colleges and represent our institution through the club.
